A little vapo-rub & a scrub brush will get that right off

Lessons I learned today:

1. Never use an oil based paint or primer.

2. The google-verse is a great place to find helpful (and not so helpful) options for removing oil based paint/primer from skin.

3. I'm a messy painter.

4. Paint rollers splatter...a lot.

5. One of the ingredients in vick's vapo-rub works with (or is it against?) the oil primer to loosen it from skin.

6. Scrub brushes hurt when scrubbing skin.

7. The top layer of skin on my arms & legs is now gone, along with most of the primer that ended up on me.

8. Never paint with oil-based anything!

i'm back!

ok, so maybe i'm not the most consistent blogger, but i am gonna give it yet another try!

and this is just a quick little note to say that, yes, i am still crafting & avoiding a perfect house and i have new plans for this year! i decided to forgo resolutions, given that i'm horrible at keeping them, instead i am making plans & coming up with new ideas...so far, so good but it is only 6 days into the new year!

first up for the month of january is $0 crafting, meaning that i make do with what i have here on hand & start on my task of cleaning out some of the yarn, ribbon, & fabric that i already own, as well as finishing up projects that should have been done long ago! i'm also reorganizing & decorating my craft/sewing/guest room...i'm super excited about that & should be starting next week, i've already gotten the primer & paint!

beyond that, i plan on painting & organizing the laundry room, crafting like a crazy person, & generally enjoying life! we've got a big family trip down to orlando planned for easter break & i'm sure all the things leading up to & following will be perfect for blogging...even if it's only for my venting benefit!

so come on back in the coming days & weeks, months even...i'll be posting pics of all the crafty-ness so far & i know that pics are the favorite part of blogs (at least they are for me :))!
